What season is most comfortable in Pingyao?

April to June and September to October are best, with comfortable temperatures and little sand wind. Winter is dry and cold, and summer occasionally brings heavy rain.

How to spend one or two days in Pingyao?

Half a day at the city wall and the county yamen, half a day at Rishengchang and Xietongqing, and the rest watching performances on the Ming-Qing Street. The combo ticket is the best value, and the old town is walkable.
